I finally got to talk with Dr Tong today and he says that Damon is doing well enough right now and is big enough that it would be a good time for his final surgery. He agreed that the possibility of him needing his surgery during cold and flu season is a good reason to go ahead and do it so that we can hopefully avoid that all together. So his surgery is going to take place on Oct 20th. We'll have to be there on the 19th for all his pre_op appointments. Please be praying for Damon. Talk to you soon.

My brother and sister-in-law, who is 25 weeks pregnant with a miracle baby, was just informed that their miracle son who they tried for 6 years and were told it would be nearly impossible, has HLHS as well. It is very comforting for them and all of us (the family) to read your touching success story. It gives us all hope for this baby we love so much. Irionic thing is, dr. Tong is their ped card. And dr. Huddleston will be performing the surgery after he is born in st. Louis sometime in December. We would really love to talk to you and your family. Feel free to e-mail me at meverett0724@att.net....thank you :-) we will be following damon's story an will be praying for your family and that little blessing Damon!
