Dr Tong called today and told me that the drs in St Louis want Damon to go ahead and have his heart cath. He will most likely be having in within the next month. He also said that one of the drs who has seen Damon up there has the opinion that Damon's Fontan should be done before this winter. We had been told that he probably wouldn't have to have it until maybe a year from now so this news was surprising. I will be waiting now for a call from the cath lab to schedule a date. As soon as I know something I'll post it here. Please pray for all of us. I'm not going to tell Damon anything until it's almost time to go up there because I don't want him to have to worry about it. But I'm not ready and this is coming at a very stressful and inconvenient time. I don't want to be selfish, we've know this would eventually have to happen, but it's just too soon. I know God's timing is perfect though and I'm going to do my best to hold on to that and trust in Him. Talk to you soon.

Damon saw Dr Tong today and it was good news again. He has gained more weight, he's up to 28 lbs!!! I thought he was going to be 25 lbs for the rest of his life. He has also grown two inches. His O2 sats were fine as well as his echo and ekg. The only thing that was off was a difference in his blood pressures in his arm and his leg, but Dr Tong wasn't worried about it. He doesn't have to go back to see Dr Tong until October. Dr T said he would send all the info up to SLCH and have the drs look over it up there. There is a possibility that they could want him to go ahead and have his heart cath during the warm months to avoid cold/flu season, but Dr T said he doubted they would say that. Damon has an appointment with Dr Tong on Wednesday. I'll do an update asap after it's over. Sorry for not posting more often, I've been working a lot. He is doing well and I expect this appt to be another good one. God is faithful!
